Trailing Cable Repairs
AEM repairs all types of reeling and trailing cables used in underground and open-cut mines, to specifications of the AS1747 Australian Standard.
The AEM workshop is equipped with some of the latest technology for fault-finding, repairing and testing trailing cables. We also have a range of portable equipment to facilitate on-site servicing and repair of cables where requested. AEM offers a full range of cable repair services, including:
- Repairs to reeling and trailing cables used in open-cut and underground mines (excluding coal mines)
- Repairs and testing to AS1747 Australian Standard

In 2012 we expect to obtain certification to repair cables for use in explosive atmospheres such as coal mines. This will further complement our current AS3800 certification to repair electric motors and pumps for use in hazardous areas.
