XPA Series Electric Motor
Incorporating all the mechanical features of the PPA series, the XPA motors are premium high efficiency and enhanced performance motors designed to meet world market needs and standards.
CMG XPA motors are three phase squirrel cage TEFC (IC411), available in frame sizes 132 to 315, and have been designed and manufactured in accordance with AS/NZS1359 (IEC 60034 & IEC 60072).
For sizes outside those specified in the XPA catalogue, or for hazardous area applications, refer to the complementary range of PPA motors.
Premium high efficiency
The XPA range of motors are designed and comply with AS/NZS 1359.5:2004 for high efficiency motors. XPA motors exceed Eff 1 and correspond to IE3 (Premium Efficiency) of the new international standard IEC 60034‑30. High efficiency means lower running costs and a reduction in the volume of greenhouse gas discharged into our atmosphere when electricity is produced, assisting the international drive for a reduction of this gas (in Australia typical emission is 1kg CO2 per kWh).
